Greetings Everyone,
I know this is going to break all of your hearts, but I will not be in class tomorrow due to a conference that I must attend. I can already hear the collective crying, but, not to worry, I shall return on Wednesday.
For tomorrow: Please have your restaurant cold call reflections completed and e-mailed to me by 7AM tomorrow, March 15th. Reflections should include the restaurant that you called, whether you were able to speak to anyone, how effective was your speech/script, and did you actually get a recipe. You should also write about how you felts during the call. Were you scared, nervous, or did you feel comfortable speaking to a stranger over the telephone. Finally, what did you learn about yourself during this experience? These should be typed and e-mailed to me by 7AM tomorrow.
For class tomorrow, please complete the cold call script for Roadtrip Nation and rehearse it with your partner. What I really want is for each of you to spend class time editing your cold call script so that when you read and say it over the phone it sounds natural and genuine.
That's all for now. On Wednesday we will discuss how to actually contact your person of interest.
